    Key Modules
  • Site & Business Unit Management
  • Vendor Management
  • Rules & Workflow Management
  • Role based access

Site & Business Unit Management

Site Management

  •  The site is a high-level platform that governs administrative functions within the CloudBLM application
  • BLM Admin will be the default user and all other admins are configured further within the Site level (Similar to Windchill Configuration)
  •  Create issues derived from the executed rule (Conflicts) and it gets updated across all platforms
  • Creating Business Units, adding users to teams, creating new roles are some of the key responsibilities of a Site Administrator

Business Unit Management

  • Business Unit is an administrative platform that comes under the Site level
  • Business Unit Administrators manage accounts of users within the entity. New users can also be created under Business Units as well
  •  At the Business Unit level, workflows, status, entity types, and roles that are to be incorporated into projects can be managed in a more simplified manner

Vendor Management

Track, visualize, collaborate and communicate potential problems during the project lifecycle with your team more efficiently.

Key Features:

  • Vendor Management is a sophisticated module in CloudBLM which enables Business Units to give access to third party vendors who will be closely associated with the project
  • Vendors are created at the Site Level and imported into specified Business Units. The imported vendors can be assigned to the projects. Individual vendor users can be created
  • Exclusive permission control based on respective roles
  • Collaborate with Project members for better coordination and accountability
  •  Vendor admins can add multiple vendors of their own
  • Assign vendors to multiple projects and sub-projects

Workflow Definition

Workflow Definition

  • Create workflows that define approval paths for an entity (Issues/ Documents/ RFI) within the Business Unit Administration page
  • Choose from several workflow templates (or) create custom workflows with the available statuses (Resolution can be set with Done category)
  • The Status owner is responsible for the task at hand and will have the authority to either move forward or reject the notion based on the workflow definition

Version Control

  • Version Control is a mechanism to track the changes with every Iteration and Revision
  • Every upload is considered as an iteration and when a final resolution is attained, the record updates version number
  • To enable version control, the admin needs to check the “enable version control” option (Usually from Done Category) during workflow definition to map to a previous status thereby revising the document until it is finalized

Role Management

Role Management

  • Roles can be defined at both Site and Business Unit levels and can be utilized within a project based on the initial configuration

Who creates a Sub Project?

Sub Project is created by a Project Admin. A Project Admin can create as many Sub Projects as required. Sub project is a logical partition of the project, since a project will have multiple consultants for different disciplines (Arch/Struc/MEP/Landscaping etc.).

What are the Key features of Project and Sub Project Management?

The key features of Project and Sub Project Management are Planning, tracking and analysing model and other data information to improve productivity in the world of Building Lifecycle Management.

What is the benefit of publishing the design data to CloudBLM?

The true value of BIM can only be realized when it is taken beyond the design team – to subcontractors, the owner and facility manager. Providing access to the model and allowing them to contribute and link other information would increase the transparency and will help the field engineers from last minute design related hassles and confusions.

What information can I publish from Native Software to CloudBLM?

While publishing the model to a project, the entire project information gets transported to the CloudBLM platform which consists of viewables and element information.

What type of models can I convert?

Any model type such as Furniture, Lighting, HVAC, MEP Elements, Structural or Architectural components can be converted.
